01 · What Free Play Mode is

Free Play Mode is a website that lets you play classic console and arcade games directly in your web browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create: you pick a game, press play and the emulation runs inside the page.

The site is published in five languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese) and is designed for desktop use, where a keyboard or a gamepad gives the best experience.

02 · Where the games come from

Free Play Mode does not host the commercial games in its catalogue. Those titles are embedded from external third-party providers that operate their own emulation services; when you press play, the game runs from the provider’s servers inside an embedded frame. Free Play Mode stores no ROMs, disc images or other copies of those games.

A small number of homebrew and freely licensed titles are served directly by Free Play Mode. These are clearly identified on their own page and are distributed under licences that allow it.

Console names, game titles, logos and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only. Free Play Mode is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those owners.

03 · Acceptable use

You may use Free Play Mode for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to interfere with the operation of the site, not to attempt to extract content in bulk through automated means, and not to use the site in a way that breaks the law in your country.

04 · No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. Availability of individual games depends on external providers and may change or disappear without notice. We do not guarantee that every game will run on every device or browser, and we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site.

05 · External links and embedded content

Pages on Free Play Mode link to and embed content from third parties. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you interact with them.

We may update this notice as the site evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
