About Ape Escape
Ape Escape was the first game built entirely around the DualShock's dual analog sticks, using one to move and the other to swing a butterfly net and other gadgets independently of the camera, a control scheme no prior PlayStation platformer could offer. Players chase down time-travelling monkeys who escaped through a rift after stealing a device that boosted their intelligence, capturing each one with net timing that demands both sticks working in tandem.
