Chrono Cross follows Serge across parallel worlds where he finds himself dead in one timeline, building a roster that can swell past forty recruitable characters and running battles on a stamina-point system where stronger attacks cost more but weaker ones refill the pool faster. A loose spiritual connection to Chrono Trigger rather than a direct sequel, it tells its own story of fractured timelines and identity.
