Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within shifts away from the Scissorman chase of the original toward a psychological horror story built around protagonist Alyssa Hale's fractured mind, weaving different playable personalities into her investigation of a string of gruesome events. Its point-and-click structure and multiple endings carry over from the first game, but the threat feels more internal and unpredictable than a single stalking killer.
