Echo Night 2: Lord of Nightmares tells its own self-contained story in a haunted mansion rather than continuing the first game's ghost ship, sending its protagonist searching for a missing girlfriend with the motive established right from the start. The same first-person exploration and light-switch-based ghost interactions return, now backed by full voice acting and sharper visuals that give the mystery a more polished feel than the original.
