About Gradius Gaiden
Gradius Gaiden, a Japan-only entry in Konami's long-running series, adds a choice of four distinct ships each with a different power-up loadout and Options configuration to the classic capsule-collecting shoot-'em-up formula. Its tightly designed stages and characteristically brutal difficulty kept it firmly in line with the series' reputation among horizontal shooter veterans.
