Star Wars - Dark Forces

Star Wars: Dark Forces put players in the boots of mercenary Kyle Katarn on a mission that would tie directly into the films, uncovering the Empire's dark trooper project years before Star Wars first-person shooters became commonplace. Built on a custom engine with room verticality that rivalled Doom-era shooters, it mixed straightforward combat with light platforming and objective-based level design rather than pure corridor shooting.
