About Suikoden II
Suikoden II pits its silent protagonist against a former best friend now serving the invading Highland Army, turning the series' recruit-them-all structure into a story about a friendship broken by war rather than a simple good-versus-evil conflict. It again gathers all 108 Stars of Destiny into a growing headquarters, but layers in a rune-based magic system and a war-council strategy mode that gives large-scale battles their own dedicated mechanics separate from standard combat.
