About Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider introduced Lara Croft and, with her, a kind of three-dimensional exploration nobody had quite built before: vast stone chambers where the puzzle is the architecture itself. You measure jumps against grid-sized blocks, pull levers that open doors two rooms away, and swim through flooded passages while air runs out. Combat exists but is rarely the point; the tension comes from being alone in an enormous, indifferent space with wolves and bats for company.
