About Vampire Hunter D
Vampire Hunter D adapts the gothic vampire-hunting anime and novel series into a survival-horror-flavoured adventure, following the dhampir hunter D through a decaying, monster-infested world. Combat mixes swordplay with the parasitic hand embedded in D's own palm, a grotesque ally that talks and bites on his behalf. Fixed camera angles and tight corridors owe an obvious debt to the genre's contemporaries, but the license's dark, painterly art direction gives it a distinct atmosphere.
