Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits collects six classic Williams cabinets, Defender, Joust, Robotron: 2084, Sinistar, Bubbles and Splat!, in faithful emulation with their original difficulty intact. There is no attempt to modernise any of them: high scores, one-hit deaths and unforgiving pacing are presented exactly as they were in arcades, making this as much a piece of preservation as a game collection. It remains a straightforward way to experience genuinely influential early-80s design.
