Digimon Rumble Arena adapts the Smash Bros. formula for the Digimon franchise, picking from twenty-four characters, fifteen of them unlockable, drawn from the Adventure and Tamers series for knockout-style platform battles. Food items restore the life gauge while card items buff, debuff or trigger special attacks, adding a layer of item strategy on top of straightforward brawling.
