V2000

V2000, released in Japan as Fighting Bujutsu, is Konami's attempt at a technical, weight-conscious 3D fighter, where fighters can be tossed off the edges of enclosed arenas for an instant loss regardless of health remaining. Its roster mixes traditional martial artists with stranger designs, and the emphasis on ring-outs alongside conventional damage gives matches a different rhythm than the Tekken and Virtua Fighter games it was clearly measuring itself against.
